Dear Buzz;
Happy Birthday. Sorry we haven’t made it to Mars, yet. As awed as I am over what you and Neil did, there have been other priorities for mankind other than going to Mars, such as managing diseases that plague the average man, advancing other forms of technology such as computers and transportation and medicine, etc. (Look at what Elon Musk, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates have done). Despite the long layover, please be patient, sir. We may get there, yet. Again, Happy Birthday and sorry about the long delay.

from a kid who camped out in his backyard the entire time you were on the moon so you & Neal wouldn’t be lonely!
Dear Buzz, I had the privilege of meeting you at the dinner table at my first Space Symposium, wishing I had brought along the photo my Dad sent me after the Apollo 11 Mission. I was on Alert with my Titan II crew at Vandenberg watching the grainy image of Neil Armstrong taking that first step. Dad knew your Mom and she came up with a signed photo I still treasure. Congratulations on your 85th Birthday. Sorry I’m a few days late.

You know Buzz when you lifted off for the Moon on 11 there were over 2 million people watching and praying mostly people my age then, no drugs, no insanity, the real backbone of American Youth. The media covered 300,000 maybe and said they defined our generation, usual media BS that is with us today.
