I was 12 years old living southern beaches in Sydney Australia. It was a hot November day I was still buzzing (excuse the pun) from the july landing. I kept all the newspaper clippings. I remember my dad saying to me that there will not be a TV broadcast of this landing because one of the “boofhead”

Col. Aldrin, It was a great day when the mission launched successfully and further coverage was televised. We only had a black & white TV , so it was not as good to watch as it would have been in color. Thank You for your time and effort to make sure that technology would work. Paul

I was only 2-1/2 years old during Apollo 12, but I have to say they are my favorite crew. (Apollo 16 a close second)
Listening to these guys chuckle on thier way to orbit after they got hit by lighting and the problems that followed. I want to be like these guys!! 🙂

After having the distinct honor of spending some time with Mr Aldrin just a week ago, I have become increasingly interested in the space program. Thank you, Buzz, for your immense contribution to history!!
