Not likely, Buzz has already made a trip to the North Pole with Hugh Downs in 1998.

Fantastic! Post updates. You know, Antarctica is an analogy for mars in many folks notebook: same temps, same humidity, same isolation and lack of GPS/GLONASS
Good Fortune to you Buzz!

Great! Norway (Roald Amundsen) was first on the South Pole, you and Neil was first on the Moon. I hope we one day will go there too. I believe that the Norwegian flag he planted there still is under the ice somewhere on the pole as your flag is on the Moon. Have a nice trip!

WOW!!! South Pole! What a coooool trip. Will this be for the Zero South Expedition? Mission Director – be sure to take extra care of Buzz there, but of course you always do. Looking forward to the photos, and safe travels to the entire expedition.
